A quick guide to Bridge’s services 

We base all our services on robust management and planning, an integrated community and clinical support approach, substantial staff experience and each person’s unique view of themselves. By doing so, we can ensure you get the right treatment for your needs.

1.  Planning support services 

Because every journey to recovery is unique, we aim to provide a bespoke care package to each person once they have been referred to us, either by an external source or through a personal enquiry.  This starts with developing a plan of action that meets your individual needs and consists of support options you feel comfortable with. We assign a key worker to you that will be there with you each step of the way to smooth the road ahead for your recovery. Your key worker is someone you can build trust with, and who can help you with all aspects of your recovery.

2.  Flexible community support facilities 

Everyone needs help at times, and our flexible community support service offers you or your loved one up to 20 hours of flexible support a week, including on weekends or in the evenings. We send aid workers to your home, allowing you to receive care and support while in the comfort of your home. As you progress in your recovery, you have the freedom to choose how much support you would like to receive going forward, and to design that support around your needs.

3.  Medium support services 

Regaining your independence is a vital part of the road to recovery from mental illness. With our medium support services, you continue to live independently within the community while having access to our support workers every day from 9 am to 9 pm. Bridge has a broad range of modern and spacious housing options where you can enjoy comfortable living while building the skills needed to live independently of support in the future.

Your support worker will help you by providing support in all aspects of your day to day living, from managing your tenancy to cooking and household skills. You’ll gain time management support and have access to staff who can help you with any issue regarding your recovery.

4.  Women-only support 

We offer specially tailored services to help women between the ages of 18 to 65 find their feetand recover after mental illness. These include contributing to creating a stable environment to help you recover a sense of wellbeing and become more independent and confident. Maybe for you, this might mean help with managing your benefits or paying your bills. Perhaps you need help in furthering your goals for training and education as part of regaining your independence. Our support staff are here to help you in taking those vital steps towards fuller, more independent living.

5.  Personal budget and recovery support 

When an individual requires care, the council may allocate what is called a “personal budget” to them. This is a financial amount that can be used to give you greater control over the support and care you need to recover fully. We work towards offering you a wealth of choices when it comes to selecting how to utilise your personal budget, and we can help you make the best choices for your unique circumstances and recovery.

6.  Tilt Support 

For ex-offenders, finding the support needed to make a recovery and begin living life responsibly and independently can be challenging. We offer specific support that helps ex-offenders with mental health problems make genuine progress in their recovery with a range of services. Together with our partners and clients, we have experienced tremendous success in this regard with our clients achieving a 95% non-reoffending rate. 7.  Housing management support 

Finding a stable place to call home is vital to recovering from mental illness. We’ve spent years working within our local community and with a wide variety of organisations and clinical teams to ensure we can offer a complete housing and support service.
